It’s been almost a decade since we saw the last installment of the Rush Hour series. The possibility of a Rush Hour 4 has been in the talks for quite some time now. And it is not until last year that the fourth movie of the series was confirmed. Who will be included in the cast and when is the release date? On that year, it is reported that the team has been giving an early sign for both Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Two years later, Chan confirmed that he still wants to do the fourth installation, but only if he will be presented with a quality script. About a year later, Chan met with Tucker to talk about the film and their future collaboration. October last year, Chan finally gave the green light for the script and just this year, Tucker confirmed that Rush Hour 4 is finally in entering the production stage. “It’s happening; this is going to be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready, and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.” Tucker stated during the ESPN’s podcast, The Plug. Fortunately, both confirmed that they are very optimistic to reprise their roles. As per the new characters that will be on the sequel, film director Brett Raner said in an interview on 2009 that he “has been in contact with a long list of stars including Danny DeVito and Jet Li for possible roles in a potential Rush Hour 4” However, there’s nothing confirmed to have been okayed yet.
