‘Sacred Games’ Season 2: Vikramaditya Motwane’s Take

Vikram Aditya Motwane, the guy behind the camera on Sacred Games, spoke about Season 2. He gave us some insights on the show that have cleared a lot of doubts for us. Netflix original, Sacred Games was a phenomenal success in India. Season 2 of the show will go into production soon. Vikramaditya spoke about the reports on being out of the picture for Sacred Games Season 2. He confirmed that he was very much on board for the same. Sacred Games aired on July 6 and won a lot of critical acclaims. It was a commercial success too. It’s the first Netflix India original series. Vikramaditya and Anurag Kashyap jointly directed the series, Vikramaditya filmed Saif and Anurag filmed Nawazuddin Siddiqui. And that according to the directors was done to save time. Vikramaditya: Very Much In The Picture For Sacred Games Season 2? “Vikram was under a lot of pressure while shooting. That is why I don’t think he enjoyed it. It may be premature to say it right now, but he may not be directing the second season,” said Saif Ali Khan one of the actors from the show. Vikramaditya is currently busy promoting his next venture for Netflix which is called ‘Ghoul.’ And this is where he was caught by reporters to clear the air about season 2. “I was immensely surprised by the reaction Sacred Games. I didn’t think it will be as big as it was, which went on to show that there is a massive audience, which watches stuff on Netflix.” When quizzed about the reports that suggested that he will no be on board with Sacred Games season 2, Vikram had the following to say: “First of all, we don’t know if there is going to be a season 2” (He laughed at this point) But quickly added, “But, no, no, I am very much on board!” I sincerely hope that that’s true because Season 2 without Vikramaditya would be a bummer! I loved how he played with Saif Ali Khan’s character Sartaj Singh.
